Cattle News
On Wednesday the cattle that have spent the Summer at the Ings were moved back to our farm.
The day was spent moving the cattle in the livestock trailer into our back field. The grass has grown in the back field since the calves from last season were brought in for the Winter so the cows and this years calves have some grass to graze on.
The injured calf is now limping about the field and sucking from his mother which is great news.

The cattle look well and happy. How long can you keep them out for? If we have too much more rain I’ll have to think about bringing mine in fairly soon.
So glad the calf is still improving.

Hi Paula,
Thanks for dropping by and commenting.Yes it’s great to hear that the calf is still improving. Yes the cattle are very well. They will stay outside until the weather turns wet and then we will bring them into the fold yard at this farm so they won’t have far to go.

Hi Louise,
The calf is very cute. He seems quite healthy except for his limp. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Sara from farmingfriends
