  1. hey up,now that were on the E L S we have had a large influx of owls,can anybody identify them by their call signs?They are not responding delta charlie super 6 ,black owl down,…over.

  2. Hi Road Blog,

    Our farm is also in the Entry Level Stewardship Scheme and we too are seeing more wildlife on our farm. Yes owls can be identified by their calls. The tawny owl makes the well known “twit twoo” call, the barn owl screeches and the little owl squawks. (Hope this helps.)

    This is a great time of year to see barn owls hunting in tussocky grass fields and margins to feed their young at dawn and dusk.
