					<description>Hi Cottage Smallholder,

Thanks for visiting again and commenting. I enjoyed reading your story and could just imagine the men jumping up to tweak their kite's string. My family will have to see if they can get the kite to the right height.

<description>When I first went to live in London, years ago, I used to go to Kensington Gardens to fly kites every Sunday.

There was a small coterie of middle aged men who were expert kite fliers and makers. Once their kites were aloft they would tether their kites to the ground and repair to a small summer house (a few feet away) and chat. Every now and then a kite would loose its buoyancy and a man would shoot out from the summer house and give the string a few shakes.

If you can get your kite up to a certain height it will happily stay in the sky for hours with just an occasional tweak.</description>

					<description>Hello Sara

It is surprising how much enjoyment we get from flying the kite. It is great fun and my son loves to run up and down and takes great delight when it crashes to the floor!. It is a great family activity and gets us all out in the fresh air, we even get some exercise from running up and down! It was great to fly the kite on the farm and see all the family enjoying our time together in such wonderful surroundings and all having so much fun.

Thank you
