National Apple Day
Sunday 21st October (2007) was national Apple Day in the UK and I marked this occasion by picking apples from my orchard.
I also created this apple jigsaw puzzle.
I hope you had fun completing the jigsaw. How long did it take you?
This puzzle took me 3 minutes and 10 seconds - it’s harder than it looks!
Apples are very nutritious and Autumn is a great time to eat apples as this is their season.
How did you celebrate National Apple Day?

Funnily enough we did have roast pork on Sunday and I had apple sauce with mine, if you can call this celebrating!

Hi Louise,
Roast pork and apple sauce sounds delicious! I am thinking of making apple sauce to put in Christmas hampers for my family.
Thanks for dropping by and commenting.

I’m embarrassed to admit how long it took me to work the puzzle but I got a phone call after I started so I was talking and working it. You are so creative. I meant to buy some apples this weekend because we kept passing road side stands with apples on our trip. Even though I’m in the US, if I’d know it was the UK apple day Sunday, I would have been sure to. Nice to hear about your traditions. Maybe I’ll go to the farmer’s market this weekend and get some local apples. Take care, Carver

Hi Carver,
This was a tough jigsaw even when not on the phone so don’t worry. Thanks for your kind words. i think it is really interesting to find out about different traditions in different countries. Thanks for your interesting comment and for your regular visits.
