I came back to read about Cagney's fate, and I'm glad to see she's recovered. We used to have cows that got mastitis and sometimes they looked liked goners--only to bounce back unexpectedly. Others weren't so lucky. I guess Nature decides--along with good nursing.

Hi Sara - For some reason I've been snowed under for a couple of months and have only just managed to begin to catch up on blogging pals; so I've been busy reading up on some of your postings and news - what a lot of water's gone under the bridge!

I'm sorry to hear about Cagney's mastitis. What a difficult decision to make - I feel for you. Hopefully the mastitis will have only done minimal damage and her next litter won't cause any of you too much heartache.
Take care...

Oh Sara I am so pleased to hear you are keeping Cagney. I really did have to fight the tears when I read your post that you will breed her again and feed some of the piglets if you have to.
As I helped name Cagney and Lacy I feel that I know them!
