Snowdrops
Snowdrops (Galanthus) are late Winter flowering bulbs.
They grow throughout January until March.
Snow and frost does not hinder their growth.
Snowdrops have small white flowers on a green stem.
They grow in clumps to a height of about 6 inches.
The bulbs can be planted in early Autumn (September/October).
They prefer moist fertile soil and can be positioned either in full sun or light shade.
Snowdrops are a welcome appearance in any garden.
They look spectacular when planted in abundance in an orchard.
