					<description>Hi Tim,
Thanks for your comment and visiting my site. Yes I love my cats and am always talking about them and can be found on the farm talking too them. This can be embarrassing when I look up to see someone walking down the lane who obviously sees me talking to my cats!!
You pose an interesting question which I will give some thought to and will write a full post on, but in the meantime my initial thoughts are that farm cats may have weakened immune systems if their parents have not been properly vaccinated, however from experiences with my own farm cats I have found them to be quite resilient and if they are poorly a bowl of tunafish tends to sort them out.
Thanks for this interesting comment.

<description>Everyone at work tells me off for talking about my cats so much - but it sounds like you’re every bit as much a cat lover as me! I always thought that farm cats tended to be healthy because they were tough - someone recently said they can be more prone to ills, however, because they’re often exposed to all sorts of viruses at a very young age. Any thoughts?</description>

					<description>Hi Tea,
Thanks for visiting and commenting. Kittens are just so lovely. I was never a cat person until I moved to the farm and now I love them and wouldn’t ever be without them. My farm cats have become more friendly and I’ve even managed to take them to the vet without getting any scratches!!

<description>Sweet kitties. When I was little we had a bunch of barn cats. I remember once something happened to a mother cat and my Mum brought the tiny new born kittens to the house and fed them with an eye dropper.

					<description>Hi Lisa,
My cats get more fleas in the Summer months. I have the bites around my ankles to prove it. I have an anti-flea spray but the cats run in the opposite direction when they see me with the can!
Any tips on how to de-flea farm cats would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your comment.

					<description>Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the question. Yes we do get alot of wild rabbits which can cause a problem as they like to eat the crops.

The five resident cats love to hunt and often bring back mice, rats, birds and rabbits that they have caught.
